JOB FOR A COWBOY To Play Australia In September
June 17, 2007According to the web site of the Hifi Bar and Ballroom in Melbourne, Australia, Glendale, Arizona extreme metal band JOB FOR A COWBOY is scheduled to perform at the venue on Sunday, September 16. More Australian dates are expected to be announced soon.
JOB FOR A COWBOY was named "Best Underground Band" at the 2007 Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards. The band was present at the June 11 ceremony in London to accept the award onstage.
JOB FOR A COWBOY, who delivered an exhilarating live set as part of the U.K.'s Download festival on June 8 are in the midst of a host of European festival performances in support of their critically acclaimed debut album "Genesis". "Genesis" debuted at #54 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in its first week of release, joining the initial releases from STONE SOUR and DAMAGEPLAN (which featured members of SLIPKNOT and PANTERA respectively) amongst the highest charting metal debuts to crack Billboard's Top 200 since SLIPKNOT's 1999 self-titled album.
JOB FOR A COWBOY has announced the first dates of its summer U.S. headlining tour, set to launch on August 13, immediately following their participation as part of the 2007 Sounds of the Underground tour. Support on the JOB FOR A COWBOY tour will be provided by A LIFE ONCE LOST, DESPISED ICON and THE FACELESS.
